Water Parks In South Dakota: A Huffington Post Travel Guide

Posted: Updated:

Water parks in South Dakota are often indoors, so visitors can still enjoy the thrilling rides during winter months. As part of a Huffington Post Travel series on family-fun parks, here is our guide to all the key information visitors need to know about South Dakota water parks.

Wa Tiki Water Park Resort

Wa Tiki claims to be the largest indoor water park in the Dakotas. This year-round water park gives families a place to go when the weather is frightful. Attached to several large hotels, the water park is open to hotel and outside guests.

Signature Ride

Koko's Kingdom gives little ones a safe place to climb, squirt and play amid sprinklers, geysers and a 300-gallon dumping bucket.

Other Attractions

With six water slides, the Wa Tiki water park keeps things jumping. A cyclone bowl swirls visitors around a 30-foot bowl until finally dumping them into a lagoon. A body slide twists and turns in a two-story drop. A lazy river winds throughout the park.

Koko's Concessions serves burgers, fries and fast food. The attached hotels offer a wide range of finer dining.
