Wa Tiki Water Park ResortWa Tiki claims to be the largest indoor water park in the Dakotas. This year-round water park gives families a place to go when the weather is frightful. Attached to several large hotels, the water park is open to hotel and outside guests.
Signature RideKoko's Kingdom gives little ones a safe place to climb, squirt and play amid sprinklers, geysers and a 300-gallon dumping bucket.
Other AttractionsWith six water slides, the Wa Tiki water park keeps things jumping. A cyclone bowl swirls visitors around a 30-foot bowl until finally dumping them into a lagoon. A body slide twists and turns in a two-story drop. A lazy river winds throughout the park.
FoodKoko's Concessions serves burgers, fries and fast food. The attached hotels offer a wide range of finer dining.

Hours: May 27 through Sept. 5, the park is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. From Sept. 6 through Dec. 31, the park is open Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Price: The rate for hotel guests is $14.95. For outside guests, the park charges $19.95.
Wild Water West
Located in Sioux Falls, the Wild Water West offers families a wild water park experience. This outdoor water park has a wide range of activities for every member of the family.
Signature RideThe 500,000-gallon wave pool was newly renovated in 2009 when the pool was doubled in size. In addition, a swim up bar was built in one corner that connects the wave pool to the lazy river.
Other AttractionsThe Caribbean Falls is a spray-ground play area for the entire family. It features water cannons, rope bridges and a 1,000-gallon bucket that dumps on visitors every five minutes. Bumper boats combine the fun of bumper cars with squirt guns. Run into other boaters while avoiding their squirt guns. A 65-foot water tower sends riders down a variety of water slides.
