Brian Kilmeade Responds To Time's Person Of The Year: 'Are You Kidding Me?'

Fox And Friends

"Fox and Friends" host Gretchen Carlson announced Time magazine's Person of the Year Wednesday morning, much to co-host Brian Kilmeade's dismay.

Carlson said Time magazine honored "protesters and their movements all across the globe, from the revolts in Egypt against Hosni Mubarak, to the Occupy Wall Street movement." Kilmeade shot back, "are you kidding me?"

While Kilmeade wondered why Steve Jobs, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, or Admiral William McRaven (Time's runner-up) were not selected, he seemed particularly perturbed by the inclusion of Occupy Wall Street in Time's cover story.

"That's unbelievable," Kilmeade said. "They equate the uprising of the Egyptian people after 50 years of repression, to a bunch of people in Zuccotti Park who don't like Wall Street bankers."

Carlson told Kilmeade that she thought Time "got away from the political arguments by putting them all into one pot, or at least they attempted to."

Hello my corporate friends I may work for you. I am a person, protestor and human. I stalk your hallways know your secrets, I am over 50 years old and seeded with bitterness from your abuse, I am tired of you and feel really guilty for the misery that we caused others. I walk your financial opulent buildings seething, yes I am angry at profit before human decency, and who are you? You are me without the guilt, without the sense that God gave you to do the right thing. You ate the apple of avarice, you are a glutton. You are afraid, I know, you live in a gated community. The security guard that guards you is one of us. You treat him terribly; do you know who I am? Is what you say so authoritarian. I have heard your terse voice with contempt for those people. I have seen your country clubs dripping with the stain of prejudice, class warfare you claim that the poor have perpetrated. The gate is thin and the time is near. Be careful a protest is coming to a place near you.

One thing that should be obvious to any alert or aware FoxNews viewer (Yes, I know that's a bit of an oxymoron) is an absence of anything contrarian to their content or anything that's analytical of the content/news that they report on.

I did a fun quick Google search for "Mob psychology group violence", sort of thinking about the Fox anchors own behavior as it pertains to a larger group of people. Funny thing -- not a single site of the pages of results would be anything that a Fox News person would even know existed. University studies, organizational studies, and other analytical or social services academic groups. If it's not volatile, FoxNews seems to have a blind side to their "fair and balanced reporting" they claim. False claims used to get you in front of a court and eventually in jail. Anyone remember Martha? It wasn't insider trading that she did, she simply lied. It's about time that Citizens United pay their dues for pretending to be a citizen. Time to serve your hard time Fox, Rupert, and the other anchors who enjoy working the mob with their vitriolic and decidedly anti-Patriotic rhetoric.

Now calm down, boys and girls, Faux News is only doing their job, regurgitating the 1%ers talking points. The problem is, they keep fooling us into thinking that this is a news program, instead of a propaganda tool, wielded by the corporation that owns it, to try to distract, dilute and misdirect the truth and then feed their twisted version to Americans lacking critical thinking skills.

2011's many citizen revolts is the greatest thing to happen to the world since the American Constitution.

Remember, they got the money and the House, but we got the internet and the votes. Wake up, bone up, gear up and stand up to take back your country from the emerging Worldwide Corporate Oligarchy! It's almost too late.

Sooo... Egyptians and Syrians, and Libyans and Iranians, and Iragis get to protest ( ad cause here) but Americans get slammed for the same thing? Last I heard, free speech and free assembly were rights that Americans defined!

Faux outrage from Faux News. No big surprise there.

Poor Brian! He's firmly entrenched on the low side of the bell curve intellectually, and incapable of seeing connections that are so obvious to most of us. Repression and oppression come in many forms, Brian. Don't be blinded by your paycheck. You're under the bootheel as well.

"Are you kidding me?"

This coming from someone that said women can get their pap smears and breast exams at Walgreens.

Too hilarious.

I have to agree with Brian on this though...!
03:51 PM on 12/15/2011
You do? Gabrielle Giffords, or Admiral William McRaven? Steve Jobs just because he died?

And not Occupy. Give me a break.
05:08 PM on 12/19/2011
That's alright Dede, maybe you'll figure it out by the time we're all renamed POTY in 2012 issue for the positive changes we force on the emerging world-wide corporate oligarchy. But for now, you can go back to your American Idol and other roman circus distractions. We'll include you in our plans for a more equitable America anyway.

Don't get your knickers in a bunch, Brian. I'm sure Ailes came in second.

Since most fox followers only read the pictures and not the words, they probably ignored the 11-28-11 issue of Time which revealed that Billo's book on killing Lincoln will not be sold at the Ford Theater museum due to FACTUAL ERRORS. Well at least they are consistent.

just imagine how they would have reacted had time selected amelia hill. if the her name doesn't ring a bell, she is the correspondent for the guardian in britain that broke the phone-hacking story which led to the closure of the murdoch's news of the world this past july.
