If you're anything like us, you can't bare to throw away paint swatches and instead keep them saved for the perfect project. Well, it's time to take them out of hiding because this Craft Of The Day is a fantastic way to utilize your paint chips. With just a few easy folds, you can turn them into playful gift boxes for the holidays or use them around your own home for small items like buttons, bobby pins or safety pins.

What You'll Need
Paint swatches (this tutorial is centered around Behr swatches)
Template (available at How About Orange)
Double-stick tape
X-acto knife
Ruler

How To Make It
1. First, concentrate on the base of the box. Cut of a 1/2-inch strip from either end of the paint swatch so it becomes a 5-inch by 5-inch square.
2. Use the template to cut out the rest.
3. Fold the box and bend the flaps inward. Secure with your tape.
4. Turn your attentions to the lid, and start by trimming the new swatch down to a 3-inch by 3-inch square.
5. Follow the template to cut the rest.
6. Fold the lid in the same way and secure with double-stick tape.
