Jason Reitman Announces Paul Rudd To Read 'The Princess Bride'

Prepare yourself for something inconceivable!

Jason Reitman stopped by "The Tonight Show" to promote his deliciously awkward high school comedy, "Young Adult," and ended up making a very exciting announcement about his upcoming reading series.

This will be the third staged series Reitman has put on. He previously hosted a reading of "The Breakfast Club," and "The Apartment," (Natalie Portman's first post-baby role) and now he'll be continuing his trip down memory lane with the beloved fairytale comedy, "The Princess Bride."

The director announced that funnyman Paul Rudd will be playing the lead role of Westley.

The Reitman-directed reading takes place Wednesday evening in Los Angeles at LACMA. The show is already sold out but a stand-by line will most definitely take shape a of couple hours before the show begins.

No word yet if Fred Savage will be reprising his role as The Grandson.

You, huffpo, need a better file photo of Rudd. The one you have doesn't do justice to his potential
as 'Mr. Laff Riot.'

I agree with you 100%... why is this not being televised???

Better yet... why is this not being offered on PPV?

I would happily fork down $19.99 to watch this!

-You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line"! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha...-
