All the single ladies of Canada, put your hands up.

Fans of 'The Bachelor' have already seen one Canadian dole out roses and break the hearts of many, in the form of former pro football player-turned-sports commentator Jesse Palmer. But what about a Canadian version of the hit reality dating show?

Sources told 2forcouples.com that a Canadian instalment of the series is in the works and could be slated to air on Citytv -- which simulcasts 'The Bachelor' from ABC -- as early as Spring 2012.

As for details.. well, there are none.

But word is the Canadian dude looking for love is from Western Canada -- though that's not set in stone. Neither are the women who will take part in this show. Will it be an all-Canuck cast, or will our neighbours south of the border be welcome to audition? Will it be roses, or a flower with a lesser stigma attached to it? So many questions, so little time.

A spokesperson from the Rogers communications department didn't confirm the news, but for all you hopeful fans, the rumour wasn't denied, either. "We have nothing to announce at this time," said the source. Let's get into the spirit of the season and be as optimistic as Lloyd Christmas, shall we?

I hope it will be as successful as Canada's version of Jersey Shore......Lake Shore. Cancelled before it began..........thankfully. Someone came to their senses.

"Fantastic!" said a bunch of sad, lonely women with nothing else in their lives.
