WATCH: Miami-Filmed 'Rock Of Ages' Trailer

Last summer, director Adam Shankman and his Hollywood minion built a few fake cities on rock and roll around South Florida. For "Rock of Ages," the film based on the hit Broadway musical, they transformed blighted NW 14th Street, the stretch around hipster haven, the Vagabond, into the Sunset Strip. Check the Miami New Times photo gallery here.

They also dropped a 20-foot-replica of the famed Hollywood sign not in Hollywood, Florida but at Waste Management's Monarch Hill Renewable Energy Park (AKA Mount Trashmore) in Broward County. They also turned Fort Lauderdale’s Revolution into the Bourbon Room.

Now you can see Dade and Broward masquerade as Los Angeles in the just-released "Rock of Ages" trailer. Downtown Miami, the faux Hollywood sign, and Revolution all make an appearance. See if you can spot yourself in the crowss at Sun Life Stadium, where Tom Cruise performed a free concert as Stacee Jaxx.

In the words of Alec Baldwin as Bourbon Room owner Dennis Dupree, somehow they turned South Florida into a "place of sweat, ear-shattering music, and puke." Not such a stretch, eh?

The film opens nationwide June 12, 2012.
