Colbert Mocks Fox News And Megyn Kelly Over Romney-Obama Photo Mixup (VIDEO)

First Posted: 12/16/11 10:20 AM ET Updated: 12/16/11 10:55 AM ET

When Fox News recently broadcast photos of the current GOP presidential candidates but labeled a photo of President Obama as "Mitt Romney," some felt the apparent mix-up seemed a little too convenient that the hard right-wing news channel equated the moderate Romney with the current Democratic president.

But Stephen Colbert forgave the gaffe after anchor Megyn Kelly apologized for saying that the two men are not the same, "not philosophically, not ideologically, not any other way." Because if the two completely different human beings had a more convergent opinion on a flat tax, the error could be forgiven.

Colbert forgave Fox and Kelly, but only after needing a refresher on exactly who Kelly is. You know, the blonde Fox News anchor? No, not that one. No, not that one. In this clip, Colbert finally gets to the bottom of Fox's Freudian slip.

Fox news is to journalism, what professional wrestling is to sports.

The thing I notice there is when she announces the mistake she called Obama "Barack Obama". I believe they always referred to George Bush as "President Bush". Just subtle ways of influencing a gullible audience.

Conservatives have long had the Big Brother problem. War is peace, slavery is freedom...that sort of thing. They don't merely drink the Kool Ade...they mainline it.

Megyn Kelly and the other blonde fembots are said by Faux Propaganda to be highly educated...so either they are lying about the education or Faux requires their brains be removed as a condition of employment...

No, it is probable that they all fall into the "what the deity has forgotten, we stuff with cotton" category.

Remember when Fox was constantly whining about the fact that liberals didn't "respect the presidency" because liberals politely disagreed with W on minor details such as the war in Iraq? Fox news relies on short term memory loss. That's because their viewership has an average age of 85 or so. What hypocrites. They show such disdain for Obama it's incredible. Also, it is interesting that all of the "errors" that they make, such as placing D instead of R after the name of a politician involved in a scandal, have an agenda.

Your statement may be in error. The viewers have an average age of 70, but it is their IQ that has an average value of 85.

Fox news set the standards for the GOP candidates to pander to; gaffes, contradictions, lies, misinformation, hate, bigotry, religious hypocracy, mysgony, greed etc etc ... need I go on ... get the picture? This is why the GOP is finished.
