Britney Spears Engaged: Kevin Federline 'Totally Happy' For Ex

It's been over four years since Britney Spears and Kevin Federline officially divorced, and the singer is set to tie the knot once again -- this time to boyfriend Jason Trawick.

So what does Federline think of Spears' recent engagement?

"I'm really happy for her -- I think he's a great guy," Federline told Australia's "TV Week," adding, "She's happy; she's doing really well. I want to say she's in a good place."

Spears and Federline were married in 2004 after a short relationship and have two sons together, Sean Preston, 6, and Jayden, 5. However, the couple split in 2006 and officially divorced in 2007.

Following her failed marriage, the singer went through a highly publicized breakdown -- who can forget the rehab stints and head-shaving incident -- and was subsequently placed under a conservatorship. However she seems to have turned her life and career around since then, and though Federline admits he doesn't talk to Spears much these days, he wishes her the best.

"It's a good step in the right direction," Federline said of her engagement. "I'm totally happy for her."

Federline seems pretty happy these days too. He and girlfriend Victoria Prince welcomed a baby girl -- Federline's fifth child -- in August. He's currently in Australia filming a weight loss reality show, "Excess Baggage," though it's a career move which briefly landed him in the hospital recently.

Kevin's probably gained weight because he's depressed. No matter how much he's living off of Britney's money I'm quite sure he thinks about his lack of a career. What will his children think of him? Money can make you comfortable but not happy. He's able to afford all of his child support payments now but where's his manhood?

So Kevin Federline has five children with three different women...stop already! Go get a vasectomy and properly take care of the FIVE children you already have! Just trying to navigate parenting plans with two mothers has to be a complete headache, and it will most likely soon be three mothers. And poor Brittney...NEEDS TO GET A BETTER STYLIST! There is nothing wrong with her weight or size, but those outfits are trashy and unflattering. She could look breathtaking with the right person dressing her.

Even though she's in a healthier place, I wish she wouldn't dress like a 14 year old anymore. You can still be sexy and have your body appreciated without jean cutoffs and sparkly bra tops.

I went to high school with her new boyfriend/fiance.....I used to see him and her every so often at a local pub and restaurant , he is a really nice guy...I wish her the best!

True, she didn't handle it well, but I think her eventual breakdown was the reason. Those things don't just happen overnight. They build up to the melt-down.
