Rita Moreno Talks About Turning 80 And Playing Fran Drescher's Mom On 'Happily Divorced' (VIDEO)

Betty White may be getting all the attention as a lovable actress still going strong in her golden years, but Rita Moreno is doing some impressive things, too. The former "West Side Story" star just turned eighty, is starring in a one-woman Broadway show and plays Fran Drescher's mom on the TV Land sitcom "Happily Divorced." Moreno stopped by "The Early Show" (weekdays, 7AM ET on CBS) and talked about how happy she feels to still be so busy.
Her one-woman show, called "Life Without Makeup," which just finished a run at the Berkeley Rep Theater in California, featured Moreno tap-dancing and performing portions of "America" from "West Side Story." Moreno said she would've liked to keep doing it, but she had other projects to work on, something her agent calls "a first class dilemma."
On "Happily Divorced," Moreno plays Fran Drescher's mom. "It's so much fun to talk like her," Moreno exclaimed in her best Drescher accent. Reflecting on how fortunate she is to be so busy, Moreno said, "I just want to do more of what I do, because I love it, and I get paid for it ... wow! I've got it all. Happy birthday to me!" Happy birthday indeed.
