The Weeknd Releases 'Echoes Of Silence,' Third Mixtape In Series (AUDIO)

First Posted: 12/22/11 01:52 PM ET Updated: 12/22/11 03:43 PM ET

The Weeknd has sneaked in his last mixtape before the close of 2011, completing his trilogy series that began with House of Balloons in March, followed by Thursday in August. The one-man outfit, Abel Tesfaye, materialized on the scene with his first mixtape, impressing the blogosphere with his magnetic combination of youth, R&B/indie sampling and crude lyrics. The Ethopian-Canadian crooner is getting the most buzz this time around for his cover of Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana," due to an eerily good rendition of Jackson's yelps. You can download the full mixtape here, and stream "Dirty Diana" below.

Nice tribute, but there'll never be another MJ.
