After a bacon-filled Quickfire challenge on "Top Chef: Texas" (Wed., 10 p.m. EST on Bravo), the contestants were chilling in the hotel bar awaiting the details on their Elimination Challenge. They got the scoop, but it came with a surprise appearance by their guest judge for the week: none other than Patti LaBelle, who then gave them a private performance before getting down to business.
The contestants shared shocked expressions, and looked to be pinching themselves that they were really getting to watch LaBelle sing "Lady Marmalade" in such an intimate session. But after the fun, it was time to head back to the kitchen to make dishes honoring someone who helped inspire their culinary passion.
Heather, Grayson and Chris were called to face the judges first, which made it at first seem that these three cheftestants had the top dishes of the night. Sadly for them, they weren't. In fact, this was the bottom three and it was Heather who had to pack her knives and get out of Austin. Sarah came out on top in this particular challenge.
