The Basics
Located just 35 miles west of Denver,
is easily accessible from the metro area and from the western towns of Evergreen and Idaho Springs. Visitors can reach Echo Mountain by car or bus with a short drive from the city or from Denver International Airport. Easy accessibility from the metro area and low ticket prices are two of its major draws, by far.

Trails And Lifts

, with two of the trails deemed easy, two deemed the most difficult and the remainder falling somewhere in between. The Milk Run Special, a fixed-grip triple lift, takes skiers to the top of any trail they choose. Snowboarders might be challenged in the
, with numerous jibs and jumps for any ability. As the season progresses, staff often add more features to the park. Guests may also enjoy
, when skiers enjoy a lighted trail between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. on most days of the week.
In The News
Echo Mountain hosts a range of spring competitions and events, just as other ski resorts are closing for the season. The
holds races each Monday evening. Registration costs $40, or $20 with an Echo Season Pass. Boarders can take part in Sims Pro Series Snowboard Camp in late March, with two days of clinics, demonstrations and classes from certified snowboard instructors. Skiers and boarders alike can close the season with Last Park Standing or May Meltdown, each boasting activities, contests and prizes.
Cost
A single day early season adult
costs $35, and a single day regular season pass is priced at $49. Special pricing is offered to children under age 5, students, seniors and members of the military. Adult ski and snowboard
run between $18 and $36, including equipment from Burton, Blizzard and Technica. Season passes and lessons are also offered to Echo Mountain guests.
Apres-Ski
Following a day of skiing or snowboarding, guests might enjoy the
at Echo Mountain. The Monday special is half off all beers, and on Wednesdays guests can order a Peppermint Schnapps and hot chocolate "core warmer" for just $3. Echo Mountain guests can stay at the
