Michelle Obama & POTUS Make Pearl Harbor Visit In Hawaii (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

PHOTOS: FLOTUS Pays Tribute To Pearl Harbor In Green

The Obamas continued their Hawaiian holidays yesterday by making a poignant trip to one of our country's most hallowed landmarks, Pearl Harbor.

Stylewise, Michelle opted for a punchy burst of bright green, covering her green and black dress with a cropped black cardigan. It's been a wonderfully casual Christmas for the first family; on Tuesday they donned flip flops for a beach trip; even for Christmas services, the girls kept things relaxed in cheery sundresses.

President Obama and the First Lady visited the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor, pausing for a moment of silence in the shrine room, where the names of the 1,177 Arizona crew members who died in the Dec. 7, 1941 attacks are inscribed.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Japanese attacks.

Afterwards, they dropped purple and white orchids into the waters enveloping the sunken battleship.

But the POTUS and fam took a break from the solemnity earlier to hit the beach and to stop for shaved ice at Island Snow in Kailua, one of their favorite treats on the islands.
