Peter Brant Jr. becomes a legal adult today, celebrating his 18th birthday. But when it comes to fashion, he's been a grown man for quite some time.

Brant, son of publishing tycoon Peter Brant and supermodel Stephanie Seymour, has been honing his dandy style for almost two decades.

Like many children of privilege, he was dressed up in little blazers and ties as a toddler. Unlike other children, he embraced the dapper look as he grew up, hitting the social circuit with his fashionable parents in colorful blazers, shiny pants, bold overcoats, rakish ties and even the occasional scarf.

Peter Jr.'s style befits his elite position as the son of Peter Brant, publisher of magazines like Interview. Through his father's media connections and his mother's legacy in fashion, the younger Peter has sat front row at fashion shows and may even be taking on several high-profile interviewing gigs (the names John Galliano and Ralph Lauren were bandied about).

In the meantime, Peter continues to put his energy into getting dressed -- and the effort pays off. In honor of the blessed son's 18th birthday, let's take a look back at Peter Jr.'s very dapper childhood.

The look in his face absolutely screams, "I have no concept of reality, whatsoever."

Only in America do we make a big deal of the 18th birthday of someone we've never heard of, someone who is famous not for his accomplishments, but because he was pulled out of the rich end of the gene pool. What happened to talent and accomplishments. Notwithstandig, however, happy birthday, young man.

What a shame! Peter never had a chance to be a little boy. I really feel that he missed a great part of being a young boy. I hope he does not develop psychological problems in the future.
