Terrell Owens To Allen Wranglers? T.O. Has Another Offer From Indoor Football League Team

ALLEN, Texas (AP) — Terrell Owens has another offer from an indoor team.

The Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League say they have offered the six-time Pro Bowl receiver a compensation package worth up to $500,000 for the 2012 season, which starts in February.

Most IFL players earn $225 per game plus a bonus for winning. The Wranglers say the offer to Owens is within league rules. In October, the Chicago Rush of the Arena League said they made Owens an offer.

Wranglers general manager and former Cowboys receiver Drew Pearson told Dallas-Fort Worth media outlets that Owens would be a part owner of the suburban Dallas team.

NFL teams passed on signing Owens after offseason surgery on his left knee. The 38-year-old has 15,934 yards and 153 touchdowns in 15 NFL seasons.

He should be ordered to take it to pay his back child support. It's not like he's gonna have a job elsewhere. Maybe he and Tiki can start a business.

Well, I hope he has learned his lesson, since no NFL, or CFL team wants to hire him [[I DOUBT IT]]. Eventually he will pop off and lose another job.

Reading the venom in the posts on both sides of the TO debate and you have a hint of the problems several teams had with TO. He was very divisive in the locker room. He had great stats in his day but that was then and this is now. He's 38 and there is nothing that can change that. He's in marvelous shape but he's still 38 and coming off of a serious injury. Those facts along with all of his baggage didn't appeal to any team this year. What would change next year...except that he would be a year older?

Yup...

He had a public workout not too long ago and nobody showed up. He may think he's not done with football, but the NFL is done with him.

Certainly would bring a lot of publicity to the league, & could be money well spent. With such a shortened field & recovering knee & humbled attitude, don't know if he could be very effective as a player tho.

One of the best WRs at 38 may not be quite as quick as the younger ones. TO is certainly a joy to watch. It's also too bad that the NFL penalizes for player celebration. That used to amuse me to no end and not just with TO, either.

I found him to be an obnoxious 38 yr. old Ridalin baby. I guess there is no TO in "team". I wished I could earn $500k a year but any way you look at it he is going out on the bottom. I wonder what happened to all the great investments and savings from when he was earning many millions?

Bottom? He'll go to the Hall of Fame. You're at the bottom with no hope of dragging him down to your level...or elevating yourself to his.

Folks, as you come here to dog Terrell Owens, please be reminded that he is #2 in the history of the NFL in total yards (behind Jerry Rice) and he is #6 in the history of the sport in receptions.

Now, please..carry on to make fools out of your selves.

There are players who have way worse attitudes than Terrell and still play.. At 38 I still think he could be in the top #2 receivers in the league..

Only knock I have on him is that if he didn't drop soo many balls he may be #5 on the reception list lol

He should have taken his career seriously instead of reality tv and hanging out with losers like chad O,He had the talent but his big head and big ego got in the way,you can tell the difference in players that practice and study and those who don't . too bad.

He should have taken it seriously? He is second in the NFL in yards and #6 in receptions in the history of the NFL. #2 and #6 out of every wide receiver that has ever played, and you just said "he should have taken his career seriously?"

haha..he didnt practice or study yet he is right behind Jerry Rice in reception yards! hahahahahahahaha

Hilarious fail!

I don't doubt any of your stats but if he is such an asset to the league how come he can't get a job?

The real hilarious fail is the way this guy is ending his career.

i've been considering the notion to approach Owens as a spokesman for our company and we've looked at where he's been in the past 5-10 years. I like what he's become as a man and as a professional.

my biggest problem with signing anyone from sports is the agents have become a really big problem, not the superstars

His attitude cost him a shot at playing this year
