Broncos Lineman Suffers Gruesome Ankle Injury

Broncos offensive guard Chris Kuper suffered a gruesome ankle injury in the first quarter of Denver's regular-season finale against the Kansas City Chiefs. According to ESPN's Bill Williamson, now that the Broncos have backed into the postseason, Kuper's availability will be in question.

After a play ended midway through the first 15 minutes, CBS cameras showed Broncos running back Willis McGahee walk over to help Kuper back to his feet. But McGahee looked like he was in shock once he saw Kuper laying on the ground with a snapped left ankle.

Just before the training staff rushed on to the field to attend to Kuper, the cameras caught the gut-wrenching aftermath of the injury.

We must warn you. The footage above may be tough to watch.
