Dead Blackbirds Fall Again In Arkansas Town

Blackbirds

01/ 1/12 09:46 PM ET   AP

BEEBE, Ark. — Authorities in a central Arkansas town say about 100 blackbirds died on New Year's Eve after being spooked by fireworks, far less than the thousands that perished there a year ago.

Beebe police Lt. Brian Duke said Sunday that officials asked local residents who were celebrating the year's end to stop setting off fireworks after blackbirds again started flying into objects and each other.

The state Game and Fish Commission says someone appears to have targeted a blackbird roost this year and that there was evidence of fireworks at the roost.

Large numbers of migrating blackbirds roost in the community northeast of Little Rock. Last year, fireworks were blamed after thousands of birds were rousted from their roosts and flew into homes, cars, telephone poles and each other.

I think the moderators made the birds wait to long to get their point across and they died waiting.

If you look at my comment history is it mostly calm and truthful.
How can a simple truth be removed from the discussion.
A play on words is a good thing.
I have had it here, almost.

Bird killings are part of the core of what is wrong with our current farming practices.

Please sign and pass on this Care2 petition to USDA about mass bird killings. Some reports say USDA is only responsible for Nebraska poisonings but official USDA document shows different info - over a million birds intentionally killed.

One of USDA's main targets has been the Red-winged Blackbird, according to the pdf document.

Birds benefit natural farming

More:
USDA admitted to Yankton SD that the bird killings there were their doing -- giving feedlot contamination as a reason.

They do so on this news video here:
http://naturalnews.tv/v.asp?v=191572F79E8B2C64705B4AB182AF54F9

However, this document shows that feedlot contamination by birds does not create as much loss or more than that created by insects -- WHICH BIRDS CONTROL.
It also says there are other ways to protect feedlots.

Let's not forget Cindy Jacobs, a self proclaimed "prophet" genius TV Preacher that linked the random dead black birds in Arkansas to the repeal of DADT which also came out of Arkansas last year. She thinks homosexuals are the reason God kills birds and stuff. Come on Cindy Girl, tell us more!! I bet my horny HOMO Lover and I knocked them out of the sky with that wild romp in the hay we had New Years Eve!!
Please Cindy, set us all "straight" about what's happening here!!

Air pollution, water pollution, insecticides, fertilizers, mercury and arsenic in the water, lack of feed and feeding grounds, lack of nesting grounds due to development, cutting down of forest and woodlands, burning of grasslands and habitats, Global Warming, vehicles, aircraft, unnatural predictors and lack of natural predictors, hunters, fishermen, artificial lakes and oceans as hatcheries, are all taking the toll on our creature neighbors.

We have as humans destroyed or eliminated nearly 80% of the world's natural insects, animals, birds, fish, and sea life. Our food supplies are dwindling each day, and our actions will eventually cause world wide destruction of our food and then, ourselves.

Wake up America, Wake Up. It is getting late, maybe too late.

Maybe duck hunters should try using bottle rockets

Perhaps both incidents were orchestrated by someone who wanted to get rid of the blackbirds in the area.

Trauma vs asphyxiation shouldn't be that difficult to ascertain.
