Calgary Hospital Locked Down Due To Gun Threat

A Calgary hospital has been put into emergency lockdown following reports about a man with a firearm in the facility.

Police put out the alert for Foothills Hospital around 4:20 p.m. MT Sunday, and are co-ordinating with AHS Security at the hospital to determine the veracity of the threats complaint.

As of 6:30 p.m., 56 police officers from across Calgary from 34 police units have been searching the facility floor-by-floor.

There have been no reports of shots being fired, or of any injuries.
