Rose Bowl 2012 LIVE UPDATES: Oregon vs. Wisconsin

Posted: 01/02/12 04:55 PM ET

The 2012 Rose Bowl features two teams which both lost in a BCS Bowl last season. Oregon, led by the the same dynamic duo of Darron Thomas and LaMichael James that took them to the BCS National Championship game last season, will take on the Big Ten champion Wisconsin Badgers who lost fell to TCU in last year's Rose Bowl.

Led by quarterback Russell Wilson and running back Montee Ball (conference offensive player of the year), the Badgers beat Michigan State in the inaugural Big Ten Championship Game. Earlier in the season Wisconsin looked on track for the BCS title game, but came two hail mary passes away from being undefeated.

Oregon, however, easily won the Pac-12 title and had the third best offense in the nation in points scored. The Ducks and their always-changing uniforms lost their first game of the season to LSU, but still managed to go 11-2 overall and 8-1 in the conference.

Will the Ducks finally get a BCS bowl win for head coach Chip Kelly? Or will Wisconsin shut down LaMichael James and win its first BCS bowl since 2000? PREDICT THE WINNER HERE!

Stay tuned here for live updates throughout the game and tweet to @HuffPostSports to join in the conversation.
