Best Athlete Tweets Of The Week (December 26th-January 2nd): Caroline Wozniacki, Metta World Peace, Chad Ochocinco Make List

Best Athlete Tweets Of The Week

We've entered a new year of athlete tweets, but in this first edition of tweets of the week of 2012, we have contributions from some of our old favorites from 2011. This includes fellow name-changers -- Chad Ochocinco and Metta World Peace -- who were easy additions to the list, and Colts punter Pat McAfee, who voiced his hope that whoever is named Indy' next GM will take a moment to watch a video of him kicking a 75-yard field goal. In addition, Caroline Wozniacki tweeted about her boyfriend -- some professional golfer named "Rory" -- and only one day into his offseason, Bears defensive end Henry Melton expressed that his is already anxious for the next NFL season to begin.

As usual, we've scoured our timeline from the past week to bring you what we believe to be the best of the best that athletes have to offer via Twitter. Vote on which athlete you believe had this week's best tweet. The winner will be given remarkable Interweb cred and 140 characters worth of salutations via the @HuffPostSports Twitter account.

Last week's best tweet belonged to a past "best tweet" winner, US Women's soccer play Ali Krieger, who landed tickets to see the Redskins for Christmas.

Unfortunately for Ali, the 'Skins couldn't give her a win on Christmas Eve, but you can give her a follow @AlexBKrieger as a belated present to make up for the disappointment.
