Iowa Caucus 2012 Entrance Polls

01/ 3/12 08:11 PM ET   AP

DES MOINES, Iowa -- An entrance poll of early arriving caucus-goers in Iowa suggests that former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Texas congressman Ron Paul and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum are in the top tier of vote-getters in the Republican presidential contest.

The other candidates in the race are former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann and Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

The survey by Edison Media Research for The Associated Press and television networks was based on interviews with more than 600 people arriving at nearly 40 precinct caucuses across the state.

Ron Paul was ahead in the Entrance Polls. What happened?

The establishment was sure he would win so they had to switch it to a secret vote counting(never been done before) and then change the results so he wouldn't win. Joseph Stalin famous quote: "its not about who votes but who counts the votes."

Everyone knows even if Ron Paul does win they would probablly throw the vote anyways. Last year when Obama won Iowa everyone said he was going to be the next presisdent of the united states, and he did. Now they say even if Paul won Iowa it wouldnt mean anything. The media (4th branch of the government) decides whos gonna win and the population is to dumb or lazy to search for the hard hitting truth. If Paul doesnt becom president, i can see a revolution on our hands for the people who are educated in what the government is doing today. Patriots vs. Loyalists. The situation is worse then any of you can imagine. And for those that do know our condition, SPREAD THE WORD MORE.......EDUCATE.

I just listen to one of Mitt Romneys' tapes he is too gunho for me... like he has a hidden agenda, in a hurry to go god- knows- where. Ron Paul, "Corperative" seemed more like Ron has his head together!

Santorum? Ha, the GOP is finished. Obama could crush baby chicks and behead puppies on live TV and still win now. What a bunch of maroons.

He is getting about 6% more than I thought.....
it could be that although not a Catholic state
most of them could go for him.....Newt
converted but that's probably not good
enough for some, and the Romney negative
ad's have hurt....

Rick S. would be easy for Obama to beat....bring him on !

The mainstream media needs Romney to win because that's what they've been told to do. They are not the 1%, they represent the 39% who are trying to protect their fat paychecks. That's how they afford those $1000 suits and the women reporters with their 4" spike heels. Give me a break!

It is painfully obvious and clear to any casual observer that main stream media and both party 'machines' are afraid of Ron Paul's rising popularity. The scary part is it is due to his message and how the truth of his message resonates with the people that actually stop to listen. A good example is the post about a true conservative would never vote to legalize prostitution, gambling and drugs. Yet all three are already legal. Prescription pain pill addiction is epidemic, and gambling in some form is legal in most states. Prostitution is legal in Nevada. So this post is another example of misleading information.
09:36 PM on 01/03/2012
Rick Santorum is coming right along, that's good to see.
09:30 PM on 01/03/2012
No true conservative would ever vote for Ron Paul who wants to legalize prostitution, gambling and drugs... so clearly the majority of "conservatives" in Iowa are RINOs.
09:42 PM on 01/03/2012
Ron Paul will give the freedom for anyone to do whatever they want....as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others....the right to triumph...and the right to fail....but, non-the less the right to decide.....THAT is true freedom!!!!

that's because no true conservative is a true conservative. . . just a blathering know-it-all
10:11 PM on 01/03/2012
I wish we could get rid of labels/parties and just state your case, what your beliefs are then let the people decide. Forget the delegates, the electoral votes. Why do so many people love telling others what to do? It's awful.

It is time for "Operation Chaos" Vote Ron Paul. Romney cannot break up 25%. Too weak! No one trusts Romney.

No salvation will ever emerge from a politician. Both parties are corporate controlled and most are selected before they're elected..and paraded before the uninformed populace.
