Leah Messer Of 'Teen Mom 2' Pregnant & Engaged To Jeremy Calvert: REPORT

Leah Messer Teen Mom 2 Pregnant Engaged

First Posted: 01/04/12 05:15 PM ET Updated: 01/04/12 05:35 PM ET

"Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer is reportedly pregnant again and engaged to her boyfriend of almost six months Jeremy Calvert, according to Us Weekly.

Messer, one of the teenage girls documented on MTV's hit reality series "Teen Mom 2," is already a mother of two. The 19-year-old has twin two-year-old girls, Aliannah and Aleeah.

"Leah just got engaged over the holidays and is pregnant with another child," a source told Us Weekly. "She is so excited!"

Messer was married to Corey Simms, the father of her twins, for approximately six months last year, before she filed for divorce in April 2011. Messer then began dating Calvert in August and in mid-December, she told Us Weekly that they "do talk about getting engaged."

Messer and Calvert have been sending loving messages to one another via Twitter and on Wednesday afternoon, shortly before the engagement and pregnancy report hit the Internet, Messer vaguely tweeted:

In related "Teen Mom" news, during an Indiana court hearing last week, fellow "Teen Mom" Amber Portwood confessed to the judge that she felt exploited by the MTV cameras and the docu-series, stating, "I want to quit, and I will."

No word yet on whether Portwood is actually quitting the show and no confirmation on Messer's marital status.

She moves fast in relationships. With Corey they were together for what a month before she was pregnant and now she been with what's his name Jeremy for 6 months and she's prego and bout to be on husband #2!!! She needs to slow things down. Like way down. And probably get some birth control or better birth control if this was an oopsie.

GET THIS TRASH OFF OF THE TV!!!! Shows like this are plenty reason for me to never buy cable or satellite. Why would I pay to show my kids how to be a looser? Married and divorced, teen children having baby's making money and influencing their generation in the process. How is that so glamorous? Tv has gone to hell in a hand basket. Stop the madness or I will never even buy a converter box. This chick belongs on Jerry Springer and financially should only benefit from a free hotel room in Chicago if that. Stop promoting this disgusting behavior.

Everyone of the Teen Moms are just True S L U T s....and to go find another man and get banged up again with two kids that the sytem is now supporting...Ahhh whats another one. . .thats what the system is for; ; ;banged up moms who chose to be lazy andnot work and keep having kids.. AM I CORRECT ?

What system are they on? Only system I know of is the $6k per episode MTV pays them. Doubt they qualify for Welfare with that kind of money.

One of the teen moms was actually shown going to get Welfare and Food Stamps on the show.

I wouldn't say that the show "glorifies" teen pregnancy. I agree it shows many hard times and struggles and tough situations. However, I do think that the fame of being on this show and in the media has gone to the heads of at least a few of them in a major way. Have you noticed how much they've changed - especially Leah and Chelsea?? Good grief! Every time I see them it seems like they're headed further down Kate Gosselin's path, and I truly cringe at what we'll see from them in the future. (And in Leah's case, the future starts now!) I really wish the show would cancel them before the media attention warps them any more. Clearly they have enough in their lives that they SHOULD be focusing on...

If ya'll don't like the show or Leah or who/what ever then don't watch it...it really is that simple. Has she made some bad decisions HELL YES but those are her decisions to make and her mistakes to learn from not yours nor has anything she has done effected you. Say what you want but think for just a second...you ready...if she is making that kind of money she isn't getting government help. I was a teen mom but I was married at the time I became pregnant and I'm still married to the same man after 13 wonderful and hard years together and we made ALOT less money but have done very well for ourselves. Don't judge or claim to know how HE would. You aren't God only HE can pass judgement.

If she is making those kind of decisions, and will pay for them, then why hasn't she learned from them? I too was a teen mom and have been married for over 23 years to the same man. But I do know something and have learned something from all of my desicions, every single one did effect my children in one way or another. If it was a good decision, my family benefited from it, if it was bad, then it effected them in a negative way. I never placed other family members or even a friend before my kids. I preached to them that family is everything, can't choose them, gotta respect them. She wants to be traditional, sorry you can't be traditional if you don't live traditionally. Becoming engaged and pregnant again is not a wise decision, considering she already has two other children. You shouldn't have another man come in and act the role of "daddy", when daddy is no longer living under the same roof. She should have crossed her legs and since she divorced Cory, she should have went back to school to support her girls and show them by example that an education can enable you to live without struggling. You can say don't watch it if you don't like it, but it's in everybodys faces these days. Our kids generation is being raised by electric devices and stupid shows like Jersey Shore, there is no thinking involved behind what they do.

Hey I wont watch it. But thats not saying much. I am grown and have morals. But when your trying to teach your children the same it makes it pretty hard with trash like this in your face. I have to work. Its not like this is late night tv. Her decisions are her own yes, but when u plaster it all over the tv that children watch and glamorize it then its a problem if your any kind of a concerned parent.

The show Teen Mom doesn't glorify being a teen mother at all! Must not be watching if you think it does. If anything its scary, sad, and makes even a stable person in my late 20's realize the genius of birth control!! People make mistakes, some take alot longer to learn from them. This is an example of a girl who is obviously co-dependent because she can't be on her own more than a few months between two major relationships and is still sadly ignorant of how to protect herself.

elope21, I completely agree with you. I am not sure where anyone gets the idea that this show glorifies teen pregnancy. I think critics should actually watch the show as opposed to watching snip-its of it on the news or catching a glimpse in an article. It is borderline scary what these girls have to go through on a daily basis. Perhaps parents could consider watching shows like this with their young teens to talk about some of the issues which arise from the show e.g. self-esteem, domestic violence, adoption, teen pregnancy. As parents, let's take advantage of shows like this to create teachable moments in order reinforce the values that we want to instill in our children.

I will tell u where people get the idea that it glorifies teen pregnancy. The kids. The only ones that should matter. This is not late night tv.

I'm confused... 'Glee' does an episode where fictional characters lose their virginity and the Parents Television Council gets it panties in a bunch. I have yet to hear boo from them about this show which shows REAL teens getting pregnant! I still think the problem with the Glee episode is that one of the couples was a gay couple -- plain and simple.

Teen mom STAR....that is what is wrong, an irresponsible teen mom is a star because of stupid MTV. sad that our society calls them stars when all they are is lucky (and very stupid) what does this girl do, besides have a tv show under her belt? can she even provide for her kids with a real job?
01:29 PM on 01/05/2012
Why is everybody bashing the girls? What about the boys who got them pregnant? It takes two to tango, remember??
03:01 AM on 01/10/2012
I think they forgot.
07:21 PM on 01/11/2012
It does and any responsible person knows that, but remember, guys can just walk away. You have 4 girls on this show, 1/2 of the fathers care for their children. The other half is either out of the picture or is in and out. So just imagine for instance that there were 1000 girls in this situation. That means that 500 of the kids(1/2), don't have a father figure, Guys can just walk away.

3 kids before she can legally go to a bar and buy a beer.. kind of sad

Actually, four. She is pregnant with twins again.

I know this makes me sound naive but - I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! How can girls be so damn careless with their body and life??

You wanted clean, wholesome tv entertainment America.....well this is what you get. Teen pregnancy is a problem so you have to ask yourself, Do I really want to put it on tv and make "celebrities"(ugh!) out of kids who are having babies before they're old enough to vote?

Sounds like another show for Jerry Springer
