-- "Solving the Communion Enigma: What Is to Come" (Tarcher/Penguin), by Whitley Strieber: In his new book, "Solving the Communion Enigma: What Is to Come," author Whitley Strieber tries to explain the strange happenings surrounding his life since he wrote "Communion" 25 years ago.

"Communion" chronicled what Strieber claimed was his abduction by alien beings and the events that followed. He wrote two more books about his experiences and received thousands of letters from people who said similar events occurred in their lives. He also became a laughingstock among his friends and lost his financial stability. His wife, Anne, supported him, though it was difficult for her to understand what he was experiencing.

Strieber reveals that brushes with the paranormal haven't lessened over the years. He uses his personal connections and in-depth research to rationalize his experiences.

The UFO culture is hard to grasp, but Strieber tries his best to tie together diverse subjects such as cattle mutilations, crop circles, strange implants and the afterlife. He even questions whether the aliens he claims abducted him were from outer space or another dimension.

What it boils down to is whether the reader believes Strieber. Are his experiences real?

Strieber doesn't resolve the issue conclusively, and the majority of the stories in "Solving the Communion Enigma" have been told on his radio show, "Dreamland." Still, there's enough compelling material to make even the rigid skeptic ask questions.

WHIT... I saw a ship - it was real. THEY are real. I want to believe that what you say and write about is real but I keep catching you in a lie. You have claimed for several years now that you have NEVER done drugs... no marijuana, no LSD, etc. In the movie, your character admits drug use. Also, you are now a Catholic - I find that most people who truly believe become Pantheists or Agnostic at the very least. Before the exaggerated experiences that you claimed to have had in Communion - you were nobody. Now you have one fantastic 'TRUE' event after another. I can make predictions too - a cure for cancer, the death of Clint Eastwood, flying GPS cars, and another UFO/Alien book.

I'm a sane, 'normal' person and I think these alien encounters are real. Frankly, I don't even like to read about it in fear it may draw them to me.
Go ahead now and laugh. I don't care.

What you say is a very true possibility. I speak from experience.

However, no-one, no"thing" is going to physically knock on your door or "abduct" you.

Having no history of serious mental illness you have the potential to learn some very interesting things about your world and yourself.

It is not frightening for the reasons that you think that it is and it's not dangerous or threatening if you choose to stay within your comfort zone.

But I read about people suffering from medical probing, device implantation, or long-term psychological issues, etc. Maybe it's just the luck of the draw if you get nice ones or not!?!?

So that you know what Streiber is and what was really going on, I highly recommend the book,"Report on Communion" by an investigative journalist. After reading IT, then you'll know the
score...

The only question a rigid skeptic might ask is, "Why did I waste money on this book?"

It's hard to explain the unexplainable...I have been having paranormal experiences since I was a little girl...from sightings to close contacs with ET's...worst..during one of those visits,I had a Physical complete examination performed in my body that caused an internal bleeding...now I had experienced some kind of unusual aftermath like troubles with electronic devices, watches, even my car! Some times I had moved the cursor of my laptop with the movement of my eyes!... :( but, anyway, all these things happened mostly against my will...I wish I could handle all these stuff, but I don't know how! I wrote some manuscripts and made them public in a kind of book in Lulu.com but in Spanish,my former language..."REENCUENTRO CON LOS DIOSES" ("Reunion with the Gods"(It means: Reunion with those Alien beings that the people in the ancient time believed they were Gods because they"came down from heaven").I'm looking for any help to translate that empirical book in English to get published ...and I wish it could reach all the Anglo or European people interested in this kind of matter...I'd like to share with other ones my past and present paranormal experiences! :)

I have been experiencing this phenomena 24 hours per day 7 days per week for almost three years and I think that it's great that some of you are having positive experiences with them. I on the other hand am not I have been under constant abuse, they are so cruel. They perceive mankind as and object and use my mind as a training tool on how to teach themselves how to control the human mind. They are very demon like and do have the ability to possess and have planetary origins.

You have no idea what I've been through to get it/them to leave. For starters I have the diagnosis of the effects of a head bump apparently according to one of the two psychologist I have seen. This is really happening to me! I started in three regiments of anti-psychotics, each taken for two months to no avail. I turned to religion, didn't work. I joined Mufon they went away or at least stopped hurting me and cold sweating me while I work.
If you want to see the Mufon discussion regarding the effects of this phenomena here is a link: http://mufondiscussion.blogspot.com/

Thank you for your concern.

The aliens manipulate the human brain by affecting the neural pathways. By exciting impulses the alien is able to manipulate its subjects emotional state and rationalization therefore making decisions for the individual. It accesses the primary visual cortex (in the back of the brain), the secondary visual cortex in the occipital lobes, and the hypothalamus. It can see whatever it wants you to look at.

The alien can stimulate neural pathways. travel to many neural sites, and cause the "firing" of neurons at whatever sites it wants. It can also manipulate neural pathways by reconfiguration. Often connecting pathways that were naturally established.

If an alien can connect into the neural pathways, he can reconstitute an abductee's memories. It can inject new images directly into the visual cortex, bypassing normal retinal observations and cause people to see things and understand them in the particular way it wills.

Often what feels like a curtain falls upon a person and in turn the individual will be come overwhelmed with the certain emotion that the alien wants you to feel, ranging from brutal anger, sadness, to extreme joy. The fact that it has a curtain effect might suggest that it could have an effect on more than one individual in a group.

The Grigori, Watchers, Others, Spirits, Aliens, Humans from another age/universe, the Protoculture, demi-gods, Nephilim, Lylith, Secret Government (or other powerful organization) agents?
Or just Electrical Magnetic fluctuations, psychotropic drugs and alcohol, schizophrenia, bad and lucid dreams or an attempt to garner attention and/or wealth?
The world may never know.

It would be far more scarey for an alien to watch a GOP debate.

Let's hope they don't judge the whole human race by those debates. I'm sure one of their options would be to destroy us in a humane way in order to put us out of our misery.

Love Whitley. Now watch the video again without sound, he has absolutely no emotion in his eyes.I also noticed this when I met him and talked to him. I would ask him to take a DNA test, I believe he is a hybrid, half human, half something else.

All I know is there is something out there responsible for the beams or columns of lights that show up in the night sky in areas of the northwest when least expected. They travel as if on a track from the Orion Belt down to this planet. They're not from anything here on earth. For all the skeptics out there how about coming up with solid answers instead of being Doubting Thomases. Something is out there, and its very elusive, and easily able to hide its identity.

Yes, something is out there. === I think that was said on "The X-Files". Anyway, there have been too many unexplained encounters from very reliable people, including pilots and astronauts, I just hope "they", whoever, they are, have good intentions. Now, don't think I'm a nut case. I'm what you call "open-minded"

You are very open minded and not a nut case. I'm the same. I'm fortunate to have a strong level of intelligence to realize whatever the UFO's are they have some form of life far superior to ours. What I saw would stagger even the smartest genius on this planet. They have a high level of intelligence that I suspect surpasses ours. It takes a group of geniuses to create a ship the size of a city block, and at least six stories high to travel silently to earth, move across the night sky under storm cloud cover, and travel under our radar detectors while gliding across a hillside of homes. That is daring, and brazen. I'm not going to list the location for obvious reasons because nothing was supposed to have been where that ship was or under the radar. They are virtually impossible to stop, and appear to have an impenetrable shield protecting them. Our military is not capable of engaging them in any manner. The public needs to stop blaming the government for withholding information or creating conspiracy theories because the public knows more than any agency would. So far their intentions seem to be more curious than harmful from the many sightings. I still shiver to think how close, and frozen I was to the beam or column of light expanding on the side of the road in the 1970's, and how curious I felt wanting to see where it would go.
07:59 PM on 04/06/2012
I wonder why we consider pilots or astronauts more reliable than anyone else, how much training does it take to observe something?

Um, yeah. I've never seen them face to face, if they have a face. I had investigated a sighting, and found nothing. Afterwards, they came looking for me. This silent craft appeared in broad daylight near my home and flashed a light in my face, then left at ridiculous speed. It was a warning.
I never saw "them", but what I did see suggests this communion guy is a fake. I didn't get the impression they wanted to share anything and were warning me to stay out of their business.
And yes, I gave up investigating sightings altogether...Alfie-
