Jean-Francois Fourtou's Photographs Depict A Topsy Turvy Wonderland (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: 'Alice In Wonderland' Meets Real Life In Topsy-Turvy Photos

Jean-Francois Fourtou's real-life fairytale photographs look like they take place somewhere between an isolated cottage and the white rabbit's hole. The charming nature of these photos stems from the fact that they, like good desserts, are not overly sweet.

The photographs switch between depicting tiny people in a world made for giants and hulking figures in hilariously small rooms. The proportions are topsy-turvy but aside from that, the scenes look quite mundane, adding to their Amelie-esque magic touch; it's a world where everything has a place except for the humans who attempt to occupy the frame. In some house, somewhere, the pictures just might be based in reality.
