ski area. The Jackson Hole Airport, 10 miles away at the base of Snow King Mountain, offers convenient access to the resort. Snow King Resort is an all-season resort, which is a major draw to the location. The ski season runs from December through the middle of March.

The Snow King Resort has a base elevation of 6,237 feet and a summit elevation of 7,808 feet. The resort boasts a 1,571-foot vertical drop and
of area for skiing and snowboarding. Snow King Resort receives an average of 150 inches of snow each year and has a 50 percent snowmaking capability. Guests have access to several runs, the longest measuring 4,752 feet.
Trails And Lifts

The resort does not have any double-black-diamond trails. Guests have access to the trails by one tubing lift, one rope tow, two double chairs and one triple chair lift. The resort offers additional skiing and snowboarding opportunities, including night skiing, a half-pipe and a terrain park.

Bill Briggs, the first person to ever ski in the Grand Teton area, which includes Jackson Hole, was inducted into the Snowboard Hall of Fame in 2008. Briggs is credited with starting the Great American Ski School at the park in 1967. The ski area hosts the annual
