'The Exes': Judith Light Isn't The Judgmental Mother Holly Thinks She Is (VIDEO)

Getting older doesn't necessarily make parents less intimidating. Holly was clearly still terrified by her mother, played by Judith Light, on "The Exes" (Wed., 10:30 p.m. EST on TV Land). She's so intimidated by her -- and living in her sister's shadow -- that she never told her mother that her relationship was over.

Viewers got a sense of Holly's perception of her mother when she did some impromptu role-playing with Stuart. The guys were desperate to help Holly tell the truth, because in the meantime they were having to stay in Holly's apartment. Before the break-up, Holly and her fiancee had lived in the apartment the guys now share.

Holly's role-play of her mother made it seem like she would be blamed for her fiancee cheating on her, but that proved to be far from the truth. Instead, her mother was upset that she'd made her daughter afraid to be honest with her, and even more upset that she wasn't able to provide a shoulder to cry on when Holly needed it.
