Stabenow Leads Hoekstra In Poll

Democratic U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow would have beaten former U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra by 10 percentage points if the election were held last month, according to polling firm hired by the Michigan Democratic Party.

Stabenow, who is running for her third term, would get 52 percent of the vote compared to Hoekstra, a Holland Republican who got 42 percent, according to a Dec. 15-19 poll of 603 likely voters by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research.
