Robber Demands Hair Extensions In Beauty Store Heist (VIDEO)

A man robbed Main Beauty Supply in Dallas this week at gunpoint, demanding all the cash in the register -- and a little something extra.

NBC reports that store employee Benitra Jackson was closing up for the night when a masked man stormed into the store with a weapon and ordered Jackson and her manager to the ground.

The perpetrator, Jackson says, had her surrender all the money in the register, including the change, which he said he needed because he had kids.

Then, the thief tossed in a stranger request: he demanded the hair extensions behind the counter.

Jackson says the man explained: he needed the best ones for his girlfriend. She obliged.

The demand might sound silly, but hairpieces typically aren't cheap: premium hair extensions can cost upwards of $200 per piece.

And surprisingly, this isn't the first hair extension thief on record this year: back in September, four men robbed a Georgia beauty store of an astonishing $100,000 in packages of hair. In May, another Texas hair heist occurred when someone stole over $120,000 in wigs and extensions from a Houston boutique.

..Now if he can just find a salon to get someone at gun point to put them in his girlfriend hair. Of course she would have to wear a mask or she could be arrest for receiving stolen property.

The hair will actually be pretty untraceable. Shops require you to bring your own hair to have it put in. Otherwise she could have have a friend or family member put it in.

You know its a tough economy when one robs for hair extensions. But to be realistic, 100% real human hair extensions are pretty expensive. He probably knows where to "unload" them and make quite a pretty penny. It still is very sad commentary on our society, nonetheless.

one time.. I saw this man selling weave in the street....LMAO and then I saw him chasing this girl down who herself had a weave on.
This is not the first.. there was a woman who robbed a beauty supply store.. her items were weaves and she walked not run out of the store like nothing happened.
Yesterday.. I heard two ladies discussing about buying a 400 dollar weave...
In my mind I was thinking, you mean there is a hair that cost 400 dollar. The ones on top of your head can grow for free...

It was his "girlfriend" not his wife. However, he probably used the term "baby-momma" instead. :)
