Rick Santorum Addresses Birth Control Stance With Duggars

Taylors-Wade Hampton Patch:

"It's been clarified about oh, 150,000 times, so I'll clarify 150,001," Santorum said. "I've never said I wanted to ban birth control. I wouldn't vote for it. This is sort of the sad part that comes in, with folks who have an agenda aren't really interested in the truth."

But he said the Supreme Court should not have overturned local laws concerning birth control, and he said he is firmly against federal subsidies that provide contraception.

"The Supreme Court in a variety of different cases, Roe V. Wade being principal one most people know, has created rights in the constitution that don't exist, and has no basis."

I bet Jim Duggar and his wife are pretty defensive about the notion of them being a baby making factory.Yet, they will stand on the stoop with San.torum who not only wants to set women rights back to the 1800s, but wants to get rid of all aid and safety nets including social security. Some people may jump on my p.ost about how Jim is a successful real estate agent and how they are self reliant and good on them and blah, blah, blah. However, why is it that you don't hear much about them, unless Michelle (or her Daughter in-law) churns out another child? It is almost as if they need to keep having babies in order to stay in the spotlight. So, while Santor.um is a joke, they seem to be publicity seekers trying to press their Quiver Lifestyle onto the public.

Some of these people are living specimens for the case for birth control.

In Rick's case abstinence would be too risky. Birth control was required and due to lack of it he is here.
