Many of us are pressed for time when it comes to putting dinner on the table during the week. But you don't have to turn to frozen TV dinners or fast food takeout when you feel like there's no other option. With the right roadmap, a few pantry staples, and fast-cooking ingredients you can put a meal on the table in 30 minutes or less.

If you're one of those people who craves a satisfying meal that's wholesome and above all quick to make, then we have the recipes for you.

Our collection includes familiar dishes with pleasing flavors, classic American dishes, and internationally inspired recipes. Many use pantry staples, which most of us have at home. Canned tomatoes, beans, rice, and pasta are all items everyone should have in their cupboard. It's so easy to whip together a quick tomato-bean stew to serve with broiled sausages. And always remember that your freezer is your friend. Have on hand frozen mixed vegetables and frozen peas -- you never know when they will become handy, like in our green curry shrimp and pasta with pancetta and peas. Once you learn the ropes of cooking in the fast lane, dinner in 30 minutes will actually turn from an impossible dream into a limitless reality.
