GBTV Announces New Show: 'Real News From The Blaze'

Glenn Beck's Network Gets New Show

Glenn Beck's network announced the newest addition to its roster of shows on Monday.

"Real News From The Blaze" will be a one-hour news program produced in collaboration with the network's sister news website The Blaze, which Beck launched in 2010. It will feature Scott Baker, the website's editor-in-chief, and Amy Holmes, the news anchor on Beck's daily show. Holmes joined GBTV from CNN last year.

In a statement about the show, GBTV programming chief Joel Cheatwood cited the network's intention to cover stories of particular interest to its viewers. He said, "While GBTV is and will remain an information and entertainment network, we saw a real opportunity to provide the news that our audience is looking for and is too often ignored by the mainstream media."

"Real News From The Blaze" premieres at 7 p.m. EST on January 18, along with the reality show "Independence USA." The two shows will join the rest of GBTV's programming, which include Beck's two-hour program, the children's show "Liberty Treehouse" and a reality show about the creation of the network. The network is also slated to get an animated program soon.
