Josh Blanchard Fail: Professional Bowler Falls Into Gutter (VIDEO)

You have to let go of the ball, Josh! Competing in a recent World Championship qualifier in Las Vegas, Josh Blanchard was bowling a mere 129 in the ninth frame when he made a highlight that will surely win him a spot in SportsCenter's Not Top 10 list. As the PBA rookie went to bowl, his fingers got stuck in the ball causing him to cross the foul line. Then, it got worse. Blanchard slipped on the slick lane and fell into the gutter!

"Oh my goodness gracious!" the announcer screamed. His broadcasting partner followed up a few seconds later saying, "from bad to worse to miserable."

And, yeah, that about sums it up.

Most bowlers fall at one time or another. Something similar happened to me a few years ago. I bowled a shot, but something happened with my slide. My slide foot didn't stop and my slide continued across the foul line. Once I hit the oil I was down.

Josh could have salvaged his turn if only instead of resisting he continued to slide all the way down the lane until he got a strike. But seeing how he's a dofuss he probably would have gotten a spare.

Poor guy. Better luck next time fella. Don't know how he could have even a qualified for a competition if he was only bowling 129 in frame 9, not letting go of the ball.

He bowled much better during qualifying. This was his first time on television, and he had a disaster. That is nothing unusual.

Any competetion you can perform in slacks...bowling and golf, are truly not sports. Any activity where it's ok to drink alcohol while actively participating...bowling, golf, softball...are truly not sports.
