Lindsay Lohan In Talks To Star In Lifetime Movie About Elizabeth Taylor

Is Lindsay Lohan Playing A Legend On Lifetime?

Is Lindsay Lohan headed back to TV? The 25-year-old actress may have been bumped from a racy Linda Lovelace biopic, but now she's in talks to play another (less infamous) iconic screen presence on the small screen.

The actress is in early talks to play the late Dame Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming Lifetime biopic "Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story." A source familiar with the negotiations told TheWrap that Lohan is in early conversations about the project.

Lohan actually got her start on the small screen in 1996, starring as a purple-gelatin loving young-in opposite Bill Cosby in a Jello commercial. With a taste of TV on her resume, Lohan got her big break in 1998's "The Parent Trap." Then, she returned to television to star opposite Tyra Banks in the 2000 Disney Channel original movie, "Life-Size," followed by another Disney made-for-TV film, "Get a Clue," in 2002. Lohan went on to appear in an episode of "That 70s Show" in 2004, which starred her then-boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama.

Several stints in rehab and five mugshots later, one of Lohan's latest films, "Labor Pains," premiered on ABC Family in 2009. It was a critical flop.

The young actress recently made headlines late in 2011 when her January/February 2012 cover of Playboy leaked online. In her cover spread, the young actress channeled another screen legend -- Marilyn Monroe. In 2009, Lohan got a tattoo on her inner wrist of the famous Marilyn Monroe quote: "Everyone's a star and deserves the right to twinkle."

Perhaps next she should get one of Elizabeth Taylor's most fitting quotes for Lohan: "I fell off my pink cloud with a thud."
