Oprah's Gift To Blue Ivy Carter, Beyonce's Daughter: Trunk Full Of Books

Oprah

Beyonce's baby girl is barely two days old and she's already got Oprah bowing down before her.

The Insider reports that Oprah sent over a "trunk" of children's books to Blue Ivy Carter, Beyonce and Jay-Z's daughter and the obvious future leader of the world. (Well, it's either her or the Jolie-Pitts.)

It was a fitting choice of present for the woman who became the savior of the book industry, and who started her own school. Moreover, Oprah has a history of book-related gifts when it comes to the Carter family. Back in 2010, she chose Jay-Z's book "Decoded" as one of her "Favorite Things," saying that she'd been floored by it after he sent her a copy.

Oprah and Beyonce also go way back, and the superstar performed on one of the talk show titan's last shows in May.

No word on what books were actually in that trunk — or how big the trunk was! Share your best guesses in the comments.

I can't imagine that they would need all that security, tinted windows in a hospital, a whole wing rented just to have a baby....what a waste....Do they think that someone is going to kidnap the baby, is this kid gonna ever walk the streets, go to school or have a normal life like others....sheer nonsense, after all they are not royalty.

When you are a celebrity and a very popular one, the press and some in the public will do anything for a photo of Beyonce's baby. The picture would be worth a lot of money. I think it's not cool for people to be jealous of those who are wealthy. It's not like they are politicians and are using our tax dollars. It's there own money. Who are you to tell them how they should spend their own money.

Books are a great gift, when my daughter was a baby, I would give her the National Geographic while I was in law school because it had so many big and colorful pictures of different animals and people, it kept her occupied for at least 20 minutes, she would tear the pages out and soak them wet with slobber, she liked the pictures of the animals and people.

I got my grand baby a book for Christmas, its called "A Child's Gift of Lullabys." It's the same book I got for my daughter 22 years ago. She loved it, and I hope my grand daughter will love it too. I got the Spanish version. Now if I could only find a copy of "The Littlest Mermaid." It's a great book about prejudiced and how people can learn to accept each other.

Why would you say such a racist thing?? What are we not allowed to be happy for the new parents, or are you trying to say "white people" assume african americans do not read?? You need to look inside your soul and realize that was not a good choice of words!

Please their child is no more a" future leader of the world" than those poor infants whose parents couldn't visit them in the Neonatal Unit at Lenox Hospital to accommodate the birth of Blue Ivy!

all hail the child! all hail the year one....!!! creepy

There were no other children on that floor, they rented the entire 4th floor which is not the maternity ward, and yes I agree not necessarily the future leader of the World, however if they choose to not have pictures of Beyonce in labor ALL over the tabloids and they had the means to do so, more power to them.

I can't think of a nicer gift to send. It's very nice for a child. Even as an adult I would love a trunk full of books from Oprah, lol

From the headline I thought Oprah maybe sent her her excess weight.

PS Where do these stars come up with their names? Don't they care that they are scarring the child for life?
