Blue Ivy Carter: Photos Of Beyonce's Daughter Could Go For $2 Million

Bids for the first photos of Beyonce and Jay-Z's daughter Blue Ivy Carter could go up to $2 million, according to the New York Post.

The paper based its report on information from an insider at a celebrity magazine, who speculated that the price would be high but nowhere close to record amounts for celebrity baby photos. The source said that the market for baby photos "has plunged dramatically" since Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly received $10 million for pictures of their twins, and Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony reportedly fetched $6 million for theirs.

The Post points out that a bidding war for pictures of Blue Ivy has yet to begin, and there is no indication that Beyonce and Jay-Z would sell the first photos. The new parents brought their baby daughter home from the hospital on Wednesday. Oprah has already gifted Blue Ivy a trunk full of books.

They'll never have any peace until the photos are released.

My suggestion is to look at the pics while standing in the grocery line and donate the price of the magazine.

When will we stop worshiping celebrities? The woman pays 1.3 million to have privacy in a hospital that others are forced to work around her presence. Now there is a bidding war on the pictures of he child. Everything is this country is for sale, nothing is sacred not even our children.

It would be nice if they assigned all profits to a charity benefitting children.

Agreed. No wonder there's so much poverty and suffering in the world when a picture of some celebrity's baby goes for $2 million. That could feed so many hungry children in the US or overseas or help pay for their education. It's sad.

What a strange society, that we pay millions of dollars to see photographs of other people's children. I suspect (if we make it this far before eradicating ourselves from the planet) people 500 hundred years from now will be studying us in whatever version of higher education they have, writing whole theses about this, scratching their heads at archeological digs and such.

Oh, ha, what am I saying? At this rate, there will be no places of higher education and humanity is well on its way into devolving into mouth breathing amoebas that will beat each other over the heads trying to get pictures of other mouth breathing amoebas as they leave their caves.

I wonder what charity they will donate the money to or will they keep it for themselves. Stay tuned

WHY? Are they Gods to continue to collect millions & millions of dollars? So they had a baby. 100,000 woman around the world had babies the same day. Why are celebraty babies more important then our babies? Idols.

It was YEARS before they would even admit to being married. I'm not holding my breath on ever seeing a picture of that baby. I hope the baby takes after her!!!
08:47 PM on 01/13/2012
Yes, but the photos will make them a profit. This baby is a cash cow.

I don't agree. Between the two of them, I think they're doing alright financially. It'll be at least a couple years before they need to apply for food stamps.

It's reckless to imply that they would sell these photos and then on the very last line admit there is no evidence to the case.
