Daniel Radcliffe 'SNL' Promos: 'Harry Potter' Star Confuses Jason Sudeikis (VIDEO)

Daniel Radcliffe is hosting "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, and though he's been hanging out with the "SNL" cast for the last week, Jason Sudeikis can't quite wrap his head around Radcliffe's strange accent in some new promos, or the fact that Harry Potter isn't about sex wizards.

No, he's not impersonating a chimney sweep or Kate Winslet. But don't worry -- Radcliffe can do a forced American accent, and espouse his love of hamburgers and big butts, when you really press him. (Although in real life, audiences who saw the recent Broadway revival of "How to Succeed in Show Business Without Really Trying" could nary detect a hint of his British upbringing throughout the show.)

If that Broadway run is any indication, Radcliffe thrives in the live theater, and his "SNL" episode should be quite fun to watch. After doing eight Harry Potter movies, he certainly deserves the chance to host the show! His musical guest is Lana Del Rey, who has four songs.

So this was just an article promoting a mediocre commercial promoting his appearance? A really lame article akin to product placement. I'll watch the episode, but this was promoted as being funnier than it was.

For love of Daniel Radcliffe, I might stay up for at least the beginning of SNL. It'd only be the second time (Betty White being the first) since Jane Curtin left the show. I think it's mostly crude and unfunny except for the news sketches, which I can watch later on HuffPo. I'm frankly very impressed with Daniel Radcliffe's American accent. In the Tony Awards show, he even sang well with the accent. That must be very difficult.

Haven't you ever noticed that all British singers sing with an American accent. Listen to just about any British singer in rock and you'll see that it sounds that it's sung with an American accent. Not sure why, but if you ever hear a Brit singing rock with a British accent it sounds a bit strange. In other words, Radcliffe's ability to sing with an American accent is more natural than it is a feat of greatness.
