Mash-Up: Ron Paul's Speech Channels '30 Rock'

After Ron Paul's strong second-place showing in the New Hampshire Republican primary Tuesday night, the Texas Congressman gave a rousing speech in which he staked his claim as the philosophical grandfather of the Tea Party Movement and riled up his supporters with a blistering critique of big government.

It was a huge night for political junkies, and Paul's impressive finish was a significant part of the story. But TV fans anxiously awaiting the Season 6 premiere of "30 Rock" on Thursday night couldn't help but be reminded of "Mad Men" star John Slattery's "30 Rock" guest spot as Steve Austin. The fictional zany Tea Party candidate with a fondness for liberty (and adult diapers) gave an epic speech to close out the comedy's Season 5 "Brooklyn Without Limits" episode.

Now, let's get this out of the way: Obviously, the Steve Austin character was written as an over-the-top, unhinged parody of a Tea Party candidate. But between the gray hair, wacky ideas and the stilted-yet-excited speech delivery, the similarities simply begged for a mash-up. And someone had to oblige.

So enjoy a mash-up of the two political speeches, and we'll see you in those casinos on the moon!
