Vera Wang's Home In Los Angeles: Inspiration For 2012 Bridal Collection? (VIDEO)

In October 2011, Vera Wang, the Queen of Bridal, showed a headline-grabbing collection of black and nude wedding gowns at New York's Spring Bridal Fashion Week.

During an interview with HuffPost Weddings after the show, the designer said that her new life in Los Angeles had inspired the collection and its unusual color palette. But given that so many "inspired by LA" collections are light, airy and full of color (how could they not be?!) we were surprised by Wang's explanation.

OK so another human being making intense money off the backs of the impoverished middle class. Nice. Massive marriage bills huh? Seems to be relegated to people that actually have money, or are willing to spiral further into debt for such a public farce as a marriage ceremony. Commitment forever? In a recession? Sorry.. but there are things in this world that mean more than selfish material items. Build something useful, instead of raging money from an already bewildered generation. Whatever... capitalism and propaganda at its best.

I have no idea who Vera Wang is, but she has great taste in Homes. I've seen a more than a few BH, Bel Air, and Hollywood Hills homes with that view, but never with that perfect architecture and lay out. 10mil, ouch, way outa my game, but I'm so glad to see someone like her appreciate it.

Such nonsense fashionista speak. New York is about big parties and LA small get togethers? I live in NY and always "do" small dinners. Vera is just getting on the minimalist band wagon this late? Her big contribution to fashion is the never going away but definitely going down market strapless wedding dress. Fashion history foot note.
