Heather Locklear Hospitalized

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Authorities say Heather Locklear was taken to a Southern California hospital for precautionary reasons after an emergency call was made from her home.

Paramedics and sheriff's deputies responded Thursday afternoon to Locklear's home in Westlake Village, which is 35 miles northwest of Los Angeles.

Ventura County sheriff's Capt. Mike Aranda says he did not know Locklear's condition but deputies are not investigating.

Locklear has been hospitalized several times over the years. In 2009, she pleaded no contest to reckless driving after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication.

The 50-year-old actress's publicists did not return messages seeking comment.

Locklear and "Melrose Place" co-star Jack Wagner recently ended their engagement. She was previously married to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, and they have a daughter together.

She's dying of a broken heart. If you've never been betrayed by your best friend (Denise Richards) having an affair with the husband who promised to love and cherish, and be a good father to your only daughter (it's not possible to be a good father and treat one's wife this way), then it's impossible to understand the depths of heartbreak. She's self-medicating the emotional pain away, big time. This is unfortunate, for many reasons. Due to the lack of empathy in our world today, we have comments disparaging her. She's already self-loathing enough to self-medicate, she doesn't need the piling on. She needs understanding. How about trace it back to the root of her despair: Her ex-husband's behavior, and the pass he got, adding salt to the wounds. Validation like that will, paradoxically, help her to stop the self destructive behavior, for it's the truth that sets us free.

I remember when she had 2 TV shows SIMULTANEOUSLY.
She wasn't just beautiful, she was also teddy bear, cute.
Angie Jo-Pitt ♥(my love) is uber-beautiful & alluring, but I wouldn't describe her as "cute."

To once be the most sought after starlet in H'wood & now be an aging beauty, NO LONGER IN HIGH DEMAND — you'd never find me without a martini in my hand, if that were me.

I'd be drinking & ah crying.
Crying & ah drinking.
Drinking & crying ... & ah swearing at the world.

Then, I'd play my old TV shows, back when I was in my 20s — then the process would start all over. Spelling (RIP) was in love with the girl.

I look at the once, "beyond" beautiful Linda Evans, from her days as Audra Barkley on "The Big Valley" & it's heartbreaking (as far as superficiality goes) to see what happened to her.
But I think she just left THE LAND OF LA-LA (per her Oprah interview).
Don't blame her one bit.

When I first saw it, I nearly had a heart attack, it affected & impacted me so much.

Also, stop embarrassing you family - your daughter....and any future boyfriends you may find...go back to your old boyfriend...or better yet...get a job - find something to do...do something "nice" for orphans or help the poor...stop feeling sorry for yourself...and buy the way where to you go to buy drugs...?? Heather Locklear has to accept the fact that she is "getting" older!!..She needs to stop getting "drunk" and taking drugs...She has a family that cares about her....I guess that's the problem with these "celebrities" that were "once" poplular for being young and beautiful..it happens to everyone....she still pretty - however, older but "not" wiser....! I think it is sad what happens to all of these "has beens"......... and trying to commit suicide like S. O'conner - how "selfish"..!! and dumb....do these people realize that millions of people would love to be in their shoes and have the life they have?? I hope they stop feeling sorry for themselves and get a life..................a real life!! ..stop feeling sorry for yourselves people. .

really,, what till you get her age.. everyone who's in their 50's or more ,aren't raving beauty's anymore, unless they go under the knife, and sweetheart it's expensive and sometimes changes someones whole appearance. I see a woman who's not going under the knife, just aging as the rest of the older population is, the normal way!!

If she's had any work done.. I'd ask for a refund,, btw, ,she's hasn't gone under the knife. she's aging as she should be.. happens to us all..
