A large billboard collapsed onto the Brooklyn Queensboro Expressway Friday afternoon, temporarily shutting down parts of the BQE.
The sign fell at the Metropolitan Avenue exit section of BQE onto a building at 421 Meeker. No injuries have been reported.
NYScanner says that the high winds are what toppled the billboard. A wind advisory is in effect Friday, with winds expected to reach 45 mph.
