Hattie Winston Offers Advice On Improving The Los Angeles Lakers Roster: Love Of The Game

In our weekly "Love Of The Game" series, HuffPost Black Voices talks sports with a person of note. This week we caught up with renown television and Broadway actress Hattie Winston, who opened up on what her favorite team, the Los Angeles Lakers, should do in order to return to the NBA Finals.

"What is this trade nonsense that's going on? I'm very upset with my Lakers. I'm very upset that Lamar [Odom] is gone. And I agree with what Kobe [Bryant] said. He said that Lamar played his heart out last season, and that is absolutely true. And then they're going to trade him for the 'possibility' of a first round draft pick? Come on, who is up there in that front office? It's really crazy, but in terms of what they should do...they need to really take a serious look at who we have on the team. They need to get rid of Bynum, & Metta World Peace. Honey, please take the 'Peace' and go spread it somewhere else!"
