'Haywire' Screening Los Angeles: January 19, 2012

The Huffington Post and Relativity Media invite you to an exclusive screening of Steven Soderbergh's newest film, Haywire.

What: The talented writer/director's latest feature stars Gina Carano (a martial arts superstar doing her own impressive stunts) along with Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor, Bill Paxton and Michael Douglas in a dynamic action-thriller about a covert operative who kicks serious ass (literally) in the most dangerous corners of the world.

When: Thursday, January 19, 7 p.m.

Where: The first 100 to *RSVP to [e-mail] will receive an email with the screening location. (If you do NOT receive an email, we have reached capacity.)

Why: You like movies (especially when they're free)! Attendees are encouraged to post their thoughts on the flick to Twitter (@haywirefilm) and Facebook afterwards.

It's gonna feel good to see a true fighter athlete doing it for real. No stunt double or CGI tricks, just a trained body in action. But, when you add into this body the content of her beautiful soul, hmm...I'm dreaming, and that's all I can do.

No sir, it DOES NOT. I went to the World Premiere at the DGA last week. It is NOT the mindless blow'em up shoot'em up spy genre that many of us are use to seeing. The 'thinking man's Salt' is the only way I can describe it. I personally shook Mr. Soderbergh's hand and thanked him for not making the heroin a blind killing machine former Marine. No, it will not win Best Picture at the Oscars, but you wont walk away feeling like you've lost 2 hours of your life that you won't get back. Don't judge the film just by the poster, that's something a caveman would do.

Oh, and BTW... because of Ms. Carano's background of Muay Thai and her foray into Mixed Martial Arts, her fight scenes are some of the best I've ever seen... IMHO.
