Lana Del Rey 'Interview Russia' Cover Looks A Little Painful (PHOTOS)

Fashion parties, runway shows, modeling agencies -- Lana Del Rey and her music have been popping up everywhere.

So it's only appropriate that fashion's indie music obsession du jour (possibly edging out Florence Welch??) racks up the magazine covers as well. Del Rey appears on the February 2012 cover of Interview Russia with a makeover harkening back to the '60s. Cue the nude lips, liquid-lined eyes and a hairdo so beehive-like that a bumblebee crawled out of it.

Ouch?

Anyway, you know you've broken into the fashion world when you endure a bold, borderline painful/disgusting photo shoot. So congrats, Lana -- welcome to crazytown.

You can tell by the size and the hair that it's a carpenter bee. The males don't sting at all and the females do so rarely. They are quite common in this area, and I have never even heard of someone being stung by one. A very docile species of bee if there ever was one.

After following this link:http://www­.hipsterru­noff.com/t­ag/lizzy-g­rant, I saw what she really looks like, you know, without the lips enhancement- and she was lovely. The video is hard to watch of her because of the fake lips. She has okay music- were the lips added to sell her better? Sad...

That bee was probably added post production but Ms. Lizzy Grant, er, "Lana Del Rey" is familiar to the feeling of needles going in her lips. Please, her "sound" is really not as different as you think. To be honest, there were more duds before. A little bit of guidance has done her good. And "completely changed her look", yes, she had bleached blond hair and was wearing cheetah print skirts before. I know you want to make this story into "Nefarious Record Manager Creates Typical Product for Mass Consumption" a la Lady Gaga, but I think in this case management has fostered her rather than created her.

Yes of course the bee is disproportionately large and certainly was done post-production, but jadedentrepreneur is quite funny by adding the comment about Grant being familiar with the "sting" of lip enhancement.
