Rosie O'Donnell: Oprah's A Better Boss Than Barbara Walters (VIDEO)

Rosie O'Donnell appeared on "Watch What Happens" on Thursday, and dished about whether she thinks Barbara Walters or Oprah is a better boss.

O'Donnell has, of course, had quite a bit of experience with both. As "The Rosie Show" appears on OWN, Oprah is her boss at the moment. Walters ran the show when O'Donnell was moderating "The View," and everyone knows how that turned out.

Faced with the question, O'Donnell settled on Oprah. Host Andy Cohen pointed out that this was the right thing to say about one's current boss. O'Donnell said Oprah was "much more used to being the boss of a lot of people" than Walters.

"Octogenarians should be revered in our society," she said of Walters. "Honest to God, they should in every way. And young upstart forty-somethings shouldn't yell at them if they can avoid it."

Cohen asked if her and Walters were "okay."

"We're okay because we have the same publicist!" O'Donnell said.

funny thing about comedians (even non comedians) and the written word vs seeing it... when you read comments like here they seem a little harsh... then you see it on video in a light hearted fun way and there's nothing wrong... she even says barbra is a living legend... all respectful

Such hate for Rosie. She was respectful to Barbara who should retire or at the very least only come on very few times a month. Barbara licks O'Reilly and Trumps boots even though they are rude and obnoxious on the show. She does the same with Elizabeth. Oprah, meanwhile, is nothing like that. I can see why Rosie gave them different ratings. I would.

Even though Barbara turned on Rosie in a despicable way, and had Trump on the show again and kissed his golden balls, Rosie still speaks respectfully about Barbara. She has said in the past that Barbara is no friend to women in the business, but she had every right because of her experience working with the legend. Rosie rescued the View from being cancelled. She brought a huge audience that year, and to thank her, they in essense fired her and will not speak her name on the show, which is bizarre to me as an audience member. They kept things that Rosie brought to the show, like the giveaways. They never did that before Rosie. Rosie did it on her show all the time, and also gave the audience a snack before the show. Rosie is awesome. When she quit her show, her ratings were very high. Trump of course lied about that. She left the show to spend time at home with her growing family. A great mother.

Barbara is only loyal people of influence. She needs to retire with grace now, before she has an embarrassing incident on the show, which she comes close to often. Its embarrassing to watch her interview some people, as she asks questions, and interrupts every answer too early. She is very rude to her guests.

totally agree with you. The view was dying before Rosie came along - she put life into that dead show - it was the best it ever was and like you say they stole all her ideas and are still doing it as I watched Whoopi the other day out in the audience a la Rosie on her new show. Lost a lot of respect for BW over the way she handled things -

I was watchin' Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone this mornin' and when I saw Hagrid I kept thinkin' he reminds me of somebody. Yet I couldn't put my finger on it. Now I know. He looks like Rosie. They could be brother and sister. I am probably the only person who thinks this but it's the wierdest thing. 'Cause everytime I see him I start laughin' and say to myself, "there's Rosie with a beard." Strange? I don't think so. Life.
