Sinead O'Connor Splits From Husband Second Time

Splits From Husband For Second Time

Sinead O'Connor just can't seem to make up her mind. In December, the troubled 45-year-old Irish singer shocked the press when she announced that she and husband Barry Herridge were splitting up after just two weeks -- only to reconcile just a few days later after a night of "love making." Now O'Connor is returning to her website with a lengthy post to announce that she and Herridge have again split.

In the statement, the "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer blames both herself and the savage Irish media for the unraveling of her marriage to the 38-year-old drugs counselor. She writes:

"Certain sections of our media are pure evil. These people, along with others caused enormous damage deliberately and maliciously to my innocent flower of a husband, purely because he was with me. And so his association with me became something very bad for his life. And slowly since we were married I became very ill as result of what was done to my husband and I was unable to cope."

O'Connor also accuses one paper, though not by name, of trying "to destroy my husbands job" and telling the singer that it was her own fault because "I don't just shut up and sing."

"I will never again associate myself romantically with anyone as I could not bear to see these things done again to someone I love," O'Connor writes in her blog post, dated January 13th, 2012.

On January 11th, O'Connor, who has publicly admitted the she suffers from bipolar disorder, had turned to Twitter with a series of bizarre tweets asking for help, claiming that she was in "serious danger" without her medication and asking where she might find a psychiatrist. "i desperately need to get back on meds today. am in serious danger," she wrote.

But in her most recent blog post, O'Connor appears to contradict herself, writing that medication was a temporary solution for the stress she faced due to the most recent romantic fall-out with her husband.

"I am now temporarily back on meds but am assured by psychiatrist I am not bi polar and do not need to be on meds for longer than a few months just to lift me out of what depths I was dragged down to since the mis- treatment of my husband and therefore destruction of our marriage began. So I will be fine again within days."
