Honor Martin Luther King By Supporting His Causes

Though Monday is a national day of service to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., there are other ways to pay tribute to the civil rights leader besides physically volunteering.

The causes Dr. King fought for then are still some of the most pressing issues of our time: education, racial injustices, economic opportunity and social justice issues.

HIS NAMESAKES
The Martin Luther King Jr. Center For Nonviolence and Social Change
The King Center seeks to educate others on the legacy of Dr. King and enable today's young people to perpetuate his mission and causes. To support the King Center, click here.

The Martin Luther King Research and Education Institute
This Institute highlights the work of King and showcase its relevancy in today's society through partnerships with several organizations, including research conducted by Stanford University. To support the MLK Research and Education Institute, click here.

MLK Memorial
The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial was resurrected in Washington D.C. to commemorate the words and actions of the civil rights leader. To donate to the memorial, click here.

My favorite American of all time. When I look back at history and the sacrifices made by many Americans not just African-Americans for basic, human rights Dr. King is richly deserving of this honor. If we can dedicate a day to a president who owned slaves, we can also honor someone who tried to stop oppression. R.I.P Dr. King!!!

Too bad MLK is not alive today....................only to see all the violence & not much peace.
