Sofia Vergara, Rupert Murdoch Pose At Golden Globes 2012 (PHOTO)

A boozy affair that crams all of Hollywood biggest names into one small space, the Golden Globe Awards always seem to produce some unlikely pairings and photo opportunities. And now, in the age of celebrity photo sharers on Twitter, we get to see all the awkward duos in all their glory.

Shortly after Sunday night's show, frequent celeb photo tweeter Sophia Vergara posted a particularly interesting pic on her WhoSay account. No, it wasn't with a "Modern Family" co-star, or someone from one of her upcoming films, or even a stylist. Heck, it wasn't even a producer or agent. No, Vergara had her arm around none other than Newscorp chair Rupert Murdoch himself.

Murdoch, as the ultimate owner of Fox Searchlight, had himself a nice evening, film-wise; that studio's film "The Descendants" won Best Motion Picture Drama, and George Clooney won Best Actor in a Drama. It wasn't such a great night for his studios' TV shows, save for the win for Jessica Lange of "American Horror Story," but it looks like, all things considered, he was happy to be there.

Vergara and Murdoch may have been brought together by her boyfriend, Florida politician and Onion Crunch creator Nick Loeb; as a conservative, he's been a guest on Fox News, and is seen as a bright young star for Murdoch's network's party of choice.

It does when your boyfriend's politics are directly effecting you and your lifestyle in an extremely negative way. all in one day she could literally be turned down from a teaching position for having an accent, pulled over and detained for having brown skin or having an accent, and put in jail for communicating with or transporting her brother anywhere who was illegal and recently deported, just due to recent policies that the GOP have put in place.

It's not about tolerance. I don't know what race you are but would you seriously date someone who belonged to a party that openly hated your own people and put policies in place that seriously hurt your community? In my opinion that qualifies a sell out. Politics and love don't always match, but there should be limits to the amount of slack that you're willing to cut someone you're dating.

eeeeeew not only is she posing with Rupert Murdoch but she's dating a conservative. WTF?!?! As a Latina she should be ashamed for dating someone who is part of a political party that has historically oppressed women and people of color. Most recently Republicans in Arizona tried to pass a law banning people with accents from teaching in public schools. Doesn't she realize that includes her? Sleeping with the enemy is so not cool. check your history luz, the GOP did more to even oppportunities then the left ever did. they just want people to earn what they get and to take advantage of the education and other doors open to all. Still, even next to the fossil (I can say that as I am in the 7th decade) she is still incredible looking. Arizona would like to keep America free of any more illegal aliens but I am sure you are on their side at the expense of the nation overall or that silly thing called law and a constitution

Moeelmore YOU actually need to check your history. the GOP hero Ronald Raegan waged a war on Latin America that murdered hundreds of thousands of peasants, farmers, and most importantly innocent Mayan indians. As someone in my 20's, I have plenty of friends whose parents and family members were murdered and sometimes tortured by people trained by the U.S and armed by the U.S. Most recently the GOP in Arizona took away our right to have anything but Anglo history taught in public schools and they've even made it legal to profile people based on the color of their skin. Maybe your white and living in a different world but for us brown people the GOP has made things pretty bad, I could write a whole book on it.
