GOP Candidates Go Head-To-Head In South Carolina

Five candidates vying for the Republican presidential nomination are going head-to-head in a primary debate in South Carolina on Monday night.

The event comes on the heels of former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman dropping out of the race and with the Palmetto State's primary election less than one week away.

The following presidential hopefuls are participating in the event: Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, U.S. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.

Romney finished in first place in the 2012 Iowa caucus and New Hampshire's primary election earlier this month.
