Big Names Absent From S.C. List

Movement could come fast and furious in the final days of the S.C. Primary as candidates work feverishly to lock in the endorsement of influential Republicans, but those who could actually move votes remain hesitant.

The hunt is more important than in primaries past, as a shifting electorate finds it difficult to settle on a favorite while big name politicians sit on the sidelines.

For the SCGOP debate in Myrtle Beach four years ago, Sens. Jim DeMint and Lindsey Graham were holding court in the spin room, pitching their candidate. Both have sat out this race, along with a majority of the GOP delegation in the House.
