'Cougar Town' Returns February 14 For Season 3

Happy Valentine's Day, "Cougar Town" fans! The cul-de-sac crew -- and "Big Joe" -- are back for Season 3, premiering Feb. 14 at 8:30 p.m. EST on ABC.

Last week, the network canceled its poorly-rated critical flop "Work It," which ultimately lead to "Cougar Town's" early return. No word yet on how the show will address the speculated name change, or how "Cougar Town's" return will affect the viewing parties created by showrunner Bill Lawrence.

Tuesday afternoon, ABC and Bill Lawrence tweeted the following:

Just announced, #COUGARTOWN is coming back on February 14th at 8:30pm. The cul-de-sac crew is back!

I'm so relieved Cougar Town is back since it's one of my favourite shows! I do support a name change if they go in that direction since the name no longer represents the show well. I understand that many people don't like Cougar Town, but it's one of those shows that has a dedicated cult following, like Community.

OK, ABC, you listened on this one, so why won't you listen to the millions of fans who have given you grief over the cancellations over the soaps? Return One Life to Live and All My Children And get rid of those stupid replacement shows! Have some respect for the fans for a change!

Cougar Town was clever and edgy when it began but the 2nd season was a total dud!!!!! Not funny! I wasn't surprised it was no on the fall line up. I am shocked they are rebooting the shows premise and expecting fans of the first season to watch. Not going to be good.

I enjoyed Cougar Town... Too bad I won't be able to watch it's return, since I'm now boycotting ABC/Disney because of what they did to AMC and OLTL.

Same here. I am done with ABC. I like Tim Gunn but that Revolution show looks so dumb. Every new ABC show has 5 people sitting around a table like that's some magic formula that is going to make a show work a la The View. Can't they come up with their own ideas over there at ABC?

Well They bring back a show no one knows about,, ABC smarted up bring back All My Children. We all know the rating are down for that stupid, boring CHEW< I am sure the Revolution is not going do so good either

You are right. They effectively ran off 17% of the daytime audeince and the ratings were in the toilet!
